Overview

Taking a comprehensive approach across 4 modules, Educational Psychology for Learning and Teaching investigates the development of the learner over time, the learning process, individual differences in the classroom, and educational psychology in contemporary classrooms. This wholly Australian and New Zealand text caters for those who are planning to work with any age range from early childhood to adolescence and beyond. This new edition expands on Dynamic Systems Theory, Information process model and critical thinking around standardised testing. Duchesne presents multiple views of learning, rather than just one, prompting students to think critically and develop their own philosophy of learning and teaching, drawing on the various theories. Premium online teaching and learning tools are available to purchase on the MindTap platform - updated in this edition offering students a learning path built on a foundation of learning science that supports strong pedagogy. This edition's MindTap will include new lesson plan examples for action in Module II, as well as valuable local videos, video activities and scenarios with rubrics for self-evaluation.
